CDF Project 1
INTRODUCTION: Hi, my name is Hannah and I am a senior studying fine arts at CMU. I am taking CDF because I want to learn more about the fundamentals of design and effectively communicate my work with an audience.
EFFECTIVE:
I chose this USB-C Adapter as an effective design because the images on the box were accurate and easy to visualize what the product was going to be. The front and back packaging both explain exactly what the product in the box looks like and how to connect it with your laptop.There is a hierarchy of text and the font and labels make it easier to read as well.
INEFFECTIVE:
This water bottle label is an ineffective design because there is too much information on the label. Specifically looking at the Built-In Safety Seal, the before and after images are fairly alike and hard to differentiate. The instructions aren’t clear and the act of opening the cap isn’t equivalent to the image instructions. The label is also very distracting as a whole.
